Media Sales Strategist

Job Overview

Position:
Media Sales Strategist at Stingray, New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Reports to the General Sales Manager/General Manager for Nova Scotia. Covers the Northeastern area of the province.

• Lead sales for Stingray Radio stations in Pictou County – 94.1 The Breeze and Q97.9, and represent all Stingray stations nationwide.
• Leverage a diverse media mix (radio, programmatic display, programmatic video, connected TV, digital out‑of‑home, You Tube, search, social, and proprietary retail media) to help clients grow.
• Own the full sales cycle: lead generation, prospecting, client needs analysis, solution presentation, negotiation, and closing.
• Drive revenue growth and meet targets through consultative sales and strategic proposals. Grow client base and identify new opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams (promotions, programming, creative, production, digital campaign managers) to deliver multi‑platform campaigns.
• Manage administrative duties for the New Glasgow Sales Department: build proposals, coordinate booking and wrap‑up reports, and represent stations at client and community events.

• Minimum 2 years of in‑person, consultative sales or account management experience (multi‑media or digital media experience is a plus).
• Self‑managed, high‑achieving performer with a track record of exceeding sales targets.
• Comfortable building ideas from scratch and presenting strategies to business owners.
• Excellent communicator, presenter, and negotiator with a history of strong business relationships.
• Well‑organized, accountable, and skilled at managing time and competing priorities in a fast‑paced, team‑focused environment.
• Resident of, or willing to relocate to, Pictou County, NS; valid driver’s license, vehicle access, and insurance.
