Pediatric Private Duty Registered Nurse - Middletown, NY (Healthcare)
Urgently Hiring: RN's for one-to-one care of a child at home and in school in Middletown, NY
Sunshine Homecare Services is seeking compassionate and dedicated RN's to provide one-on-one nursing care to a medically fragile child with complex health care needs Monday-Friday 6:30am-6:30pm and Saturday and Sunday 7pm-7am. This position requires an RN to accompany child to school daily and back home after school until 6:30pm and at home on Saturdays and Sundays.

Full-Time / Part-Time/Per-Diem - Rate: $50.00 - $55.00
Job Duties
- Provide direct nursing care to child at school and at home
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor and document the child's health status throughout the day
- Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions
- Assist with medical devices such as feeding tubes, tracheostomies, oxygen, nebulizer and catheters as needed
- Collaborate with school staff, family, and healthcare providers
- Ensure compliance with the care plan developed by the RN Case Manager and physician
- Document care daily and communicate updates with Sunshine Homecare Services and RN case manager
- Use appropriate infection control procedures and safety measures
- Comply with all company policies, practices, and procedures
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Current NY State RN license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience preferred
- Experience in school or community health nursing is a plus
- Valid Nursing Degree/Diploma
- Active New York State RN License
- Current CPR Certification
- Strong pediatric care skills required
- Excellent communication with children, families, and staff
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly
- Organized and detail-oriented documentation skills
- Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
- Ability to remain on school premises for scheduled hours
- Ability to assist with student mobility and transfers to and from school and when home
