Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility based in New City NY 10956. This is a 3-month assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Monday - Friday 6:30am – 2:30pm and alternate weekends 8am-12pm

Payrate
: $29 - $21/hr. on w2 / Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications

• The Patient Services Representative (PSR II) represents the face of our company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
• The PSR II draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• The PSR II has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
• The PSR II will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information. Successful applicants may be assigned to a doctor's office, a patient service center or as business needs dictate.
• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.

• Perform safe, accurate venipuncture and capillary blood draws, including pediatric and geriatric collections
• Conduct clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing following established procedures
• Prepare, label, verify, and process specimens for laboratory testing
• Verify patient demographics, initials, and obtain patient signature post-venipuncture to confirm correct labeling
• Clearly explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort, trust, and confidence
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards
• Perform daily duties accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors, process excellence, and confidentiality of patient information

• Ability to provide high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if applicable)

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

• 2+ years of phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• Minimum 1 year in a PSC/IOP environment preferred.
• Customer service in a preferred retail or service environment.
