OverviewA large public healthcare system in New York City is seeking an Assistant Director – Telecommunications to support enterprise telecommunications infrastructure and hospital network systems. This role supports mission‑critical voice and network services across multiple healthcare facilities and clinics.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Cisco VoIP, PBX systems, and telecom infrastructure within healthcare environments.
Responsibilities- Provide operational leadership and technical oversight for telecommunications infrastructure
- Support and administer Cisco VoIP, CUCM, and PBX systems
- Maintain and troubleshoot Right Fax enterprise architecture
- Support telecom carrier integrations and mobile carrier systems
- Lead troubleshooting of complex routing and switching issues
- Oversee Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) technology across healthcare facilities
- Support Cisco Unity Connection and Cisco VG224 Analog Gateways
- Manage telecommunications hardware, inventory, and telecom circuits
- Lead telecom infrastructure projects across multiple hospital locations
- Analyse network performance and resolve recurring telecom issues
- Collaborate with vendors, carriers, and internal IT teams
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- 4+ years of experience supporting enterprise telecom infrastructure
- Hands‑on experience with Cisco VoIP, CUCM, PBX systems
- Experience supporting telecommunications infrastructure in large enterprise environments
