AboutThe Role
The Field Service Technician II has completed CES Field Services Technician I training and/or has the equivalent experience. The Field Service Technician II is responsible for cleaning and transporting hazardous and non‑hazardous waste. This role includes, but is not limited to, loading and unloading tanks and tankers with bulk liquids, completing inspection of equipment, hoses, and connections, performing confined space entry, and operating various equipment such as pressure washers, hand trucks, forklifts, and power tools with minimal direct supervision in accordance with company policies, OSHA requirements, and all local, state, and federal laws.
A valid state driver’s license is required. All employees must complete a pre‑employment drug screen, physical, background check, motor vehicle report, and a review of previous employment and criminal history records.
- Drive a commercial vehicle to pick up and transport waste to a designated location safely while meeting scheduled appointments and following all DOT regulations.
- Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water; secure cargo before and during transport.
- Use hydro blast equipment, forklift, skid loader, specialty vacuum equipment, and/or other equipment as needed; perform work activities related to chemical, oil, and water spills.
- Complete critical path documentation: manifests, driver logs, job summary, permits, etc.
- Work in confined spaces above and below ground and on and under equipment.
- Communicate with project manager and on‑site customers.
- Daily work in confined space entry, mechanics, industrial hygiene instrumentation, pneumatic tools, electrical tools, hand tools, and/or other tools as needed.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- 1 year of experience.
- Experience in construction preferred.
- Basic computer skills; MS Outlook and Net Suite are a plus.
- Ability to travel 25% of the time, including overnight travel.
- Ability to use heavy, light, and handheld equipment (forklift, track hoe, backhoe, skid steer, etc.).
- Work environment: outside weather conditions, exposure to noise levels.
- 40 HR HAZWOP
- Pass the respirator fit test
- Federal medical card
