Responsible for the installation, wiring, and commissioning of Building Automation Systems (BAS) including HVAC controls, lighting systems, and energy management solutions. This role requires strong electrical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure timely and high-quality installations.
Salary Range is: $30 to $40 per hour in addition to an exceptional benefit package
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other functions may be assigned.- Install and wire BAS components including controllers, sensors, actuators, relays, and network devices.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, and installation manuals.
- Perform low-voltage electrical work in accordance with local and national codes.
- Assist in system startup, testing, and commissioning of BAS systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues in the field.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including redline drawings and installation reports.
- Coordinate with other trades (HVAC, electrical, mechanical) to ensure smooth project execution.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Provide feedback to engineering and project teams for continuous improvement.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or apprenticeship in electrical or HVAC technology preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in electrical installation, preferably in BAS or HVAC controls.
- Familiarity with BAS platforms such as Trane, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, or similar.
- Familiarity with control devices and proper installation methods.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documents.
- Ability to bend and install EMT and rigid.
- Experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong understanding of low-voltage electrical systems and control wiring.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license
- OSHA 10/30 certification preferred
