Sales and Production Associate

Overview

The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers make a difference in people's lives. Through the collection and resale of gently used goods we provide financial support to assist men and women with a variety of social and spiritual afflictions. The in-residence rehabilitation program focuses on basic necessities with every participant receiving a clean and healthy living environment, good food, work therapy, leisure time activities, group and individual counseling, and spiritual direction.

All effort is focused on developing life skills and a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. More than just a job, each member of the team contributes to recycling goods that literally recycle and repair broken lives.

• Assist in creating a pleasant and hospitable work environment and maintain good customer relationships.
• Assist, as required, with store operations.
• Serve all customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Handle all donations with care and donors with respect and courtesy.
• Handle merchandise as directed, always maintaining proper categories and colorization.
• Ensure that store is sufficiently stocked and “ragged out” in accordance with the “ARC COMMAND RAG OUT CALENDAR.”
• Assist in cleaning and general maintenance of store property.
• Immediately report theft, customer complaints, injuries, and any unsafe equipment or conditions to management.
• Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area.
• Be well-versed in and comply with store policies as communicated.
• This position will support the work therapy program component of The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers by providing beneficiaries with an example of professional conduct and work habits.
• Other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor, Store Supervisor, and/or Administrator.

• Ability to speak and understand English for effective communication with supervisors, employees, beneficiaries, and customers.
• Good customer service skills.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
