Job Title: Powder Coat Painter – 2nd Shift

Location: New Castle, PA

Status: Full-Time Exempt

Shift: 2nd shift (2:00pm – 10:00pm) |
Shift Differential: $1

An air curtain is a machine that blows a controlled stream of air across an opening to create an air seal. This air seal not only saves energy it also provides comfortable environments by keeping out bugs, dust, fumes, and extreme temperatures.

Our Powder Coat Painters have industrial paint experience, are mechanically inclined, and have a passion for quality. This position is responsible for powder coat applications, checking for quality, and maintaining a clean and safety workspace. • Maintain powder area, paint booth and bake oven
• Loading and unloading products on carts and racks
• Conduct prep-work prior to application
• Check humidity and temperature prior to application
• Set and adjust controls for powder coat application
• Perform powder coat application, utilize paint booth and bake oven as needed
• Keep system clean to insure efficiency and maximum safety
• Load and unload parts on and off conveyor, start and set-up conveyor as required
• Clean and replenish tanks with chemicals
• Quality Assurance as products are completed
• Some product assembly, as needed
• Communicate with Purchasing department or ordering powder and other inventory

• Strong work ethic with great attendance, punctuality and initiative are a must
• Able to read coating thickness gauge
• Knowledge of powder coating procedures and painting equipment
• At least 3 years of powder coat painting, is a plus
• Must be able to achieve and maintain production standards and piece count
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good hand dexterity, mechanically inclined
• Able to work in a fast pace environment
• Demonstrate ability to work independently without daily supervision
• Adheres to company safety policies
• Must successfully pass pre-employment screenings

• Ability to lift, up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Reaching, standing, bending for long periods of time
• Able to withstand high temperatures during summer months
• Must be able to adhere to respirator guidelines
