• Implement required maintenance procedures in an efficient, cost-effective manner and in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements while providing a safe environment for our residents.
• Maintain facility by repairing walls, baseboards, doors, ceilings, mirrors, windows, removing trash, etc.
• Move furniture to complete assignments.
• Assist with cleaning of resident rooms upon transfer, discharge, or death.
• Follow the maintenance schedule/instructions from the Director.
• Perform routine maintenance repairs on the facility and equipment, including plumbing, wall repair, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, etc., as directed.
• Complete maintenance request slips.
• Perform routine maintenance of the grounds and parking areas, replace light bulbs, and assist with preventative maintenance.
• Assist in smooth operations of the maintenance department.
• Work some holidays and weekends and may have on-call hours.

As Maintenance Assistant, you are delegated the authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties. This job requires adherence to our established policies and procedures and supervision guidance.
