Maintenance Assistant

Base Pay Range

$16.50/hr - $17.50/hr

The primary purpose of the Maintenance Assistant is to implement required maintenance procedures in an efficient, cost‑effective manner, meeting all federal, state, and local requirements while providing a safe environment for our residents.

Maintenance Assistants are delegated the authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out their assigned duties. Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures, as instructed by supervisors.

• Maintain facility by repairing walls, baseboards, doors, ceilings, mirrors, windows, and removing trash.
• Move furniture as required to complete assignments.
• Assist with cleaning of resident rooms upon transfer, discharge, or death.
• Follow the maintenance schedule and instructions from the Director.
• Perform routine maintenance repairs on facility and equipment, including plumbing, wall repair, carpentry, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Complete maintenance request slips.
• Perform routine maintenance of grounds, parking areas, replace light bulbs, and assist with preventative maintenance.
• Assist in smooth operations of the maintenance department.
• Work some holidays, weekends, and may have on‑call hours.
