Family Crisis Therapist Supervisor

Summary

This is the supervisory level in the family crisis therapy series responsible for overseeing and monitoring program operations for intervention services.

Selective Requirements must be met in addition to the job requirements. Applicants who do not possess the selective requirement will not be qualified.

Possession of a valid driver's license.

• Intervenes in family crisis situations.
• Provides on-going clinical assessment and treatment.
• Develops and implements treatment plans.
• Assesses progress and recommends appropriate strategies for continual functional improvement within the family.
• Conducts individual and family therapy sessions.
• Prepares clinical reports and documentation of progress towards goals of families and clients.
• Provides on-going consultation with professional staff.

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree or higher in Behavioral or Social Science or related field.
• Two years' experience in crisis intervention.
• Three years' experience in case management such as assessing, planning, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating options and services to meet an individual s human needs.
• Coursework, training and/or work experience in staff supervision, which may include performing as a lead worker overseeing the work of others.

This position is eligible for Tel/AWS schedule contingent upon successful completion of probation. The State of Delaware recognizes the value of telework and flexible working schedules. Criminal background check: A satisfactory criminal background check is required as a condition of hire. The recruiting agency may require the applicant to pay for the criminal background check as part of the conditional offer of hire.

All new hires are required to report to the Statewide New Employee Orientation (SNEO) on their first day of employment. Sessions are held at designated locations in Kent or New Castle County.
