** Speech-Language Pathologist
** to join our therapy team and support residents in maximizing independence, communication, and quality of life.## Position Summary The Speech Therapist is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating residents with speech, language, cognitive‑communication, and swallowing disorders. The ideal candidate is patient-centered, clinically driven, and passionate about working in a long‑term care/rehab environment.## Responsibilities
* Conduct speech, language, cognitive‑communication, voice, and swallowing evaluations.
* Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings.
* Provide direct therapy to residents in accordance with physician orders and resident goals.
* Document evaluations, daily notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
* Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including nursing, dietary, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and social services.
* Educate residents, families, and staff on treatment plans, communication techniques, and safe swallowing practices.
* Participate in care plan meetings and contribute to resident-centered planning.
* Ensure ethical and professional standards of practice at all times.## Qualifications
* Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
* Current Kentucky SLP license (or eligibility to obtain).
* Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFYs welcome to apply.
* Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred but not required.
* Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and organizational skills.
