Materials Service Assistant III - Picker -Part time - Mon & Thurs hour shifts

Overview

Christiana Care is a large health care provider with hospitals in Wilmington and Newark, DE, and Elkton, MD. We are looking for a full-time Service Assistant III Material Picker to accurately pick and pack customer supplies orders for delivery to hospital supply locations and off-site facilities, meeting department standards for safety, security, and efficiency.

• Fulfills customer supply orders via pick ticket and documents quantities picked, and notifies clerical staff of discrepancies.
• Handles supplies and equipment to ensure sterility and infection control where applicable.
• Packs and transports filled orders to the outbound area for transshipment.
• Loads and unloads shipments and internal transport supply carts from delivery trucks.
• Stages inbound shipments and transport carts/totes in appropriate areas.
• Transports inventory products from receiving to the appropriate warehouse locations.
• Restocks supplies in warehouse locations using accurate rotation, organization, identification, and documentation.

3:30 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. on Monday and Thursday.

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• One year of relevant experience in Warehouse Operations is required.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

• Unavoidable noise, dust, and dirt in a busy hospital environment.

• Frequent lifting up to 35 lbs. of supplies.
• Ability to push a cart with up to 250 lbs. of stock.

The starting rate is $18.08 per hour, increasing to $21.15 per hour after six months of continuous employment, and to $22.18 per hour after one year. This pay rate reflects good faith and reasonable estimates at posting; actual salary may vary based on skills, experience, and qualifications related to the job requirements.
