Operations Technician

• Participate in projects for the business such as infrastructure upgrades, changes, and moves;
• Provide skilled/unskilled labor to Telecom Division and/or A/V Division (Contractor should provide labor one or all the following Client Services Divisions);
• Data cable termination, pulling and testing (Cat6, Ethernet, Coax, Fiber);
• Cabling through conduit, interstitial, in-wall, plenum, confined, general commercial and residential spaces;
• Cable management in racks and utility areas;
• Install and test telecom equipment, such as network switches, routers, access points, and IP cameras;
• Understand and execute project Scope of Work and provide installation services for telecom, phone, network and camera systems;
• Provide support for service calls and emergency service calls to clients;
• A/V cable termination, pulling and testing (Cat6, Ethernet, BNC, Fiber, Wago connections, splicing, and Phoenix type connectors)
• Cabling through conduit, interstitial, in-wall, plenum, confined, general commercial and residential spaces;
• Cable management in racks, behind displays, ceiling spaces, and under table surfaces;
• Configuration and Installation of large format displays (projectors, LED video walls and TVs);
• Configuration and Installation of A/V control and collaboration hardware (Conference Cameras, Speakers, Extron Hardware, Control Processors, RS-232, IR, and relays);
• Support for A/V systems and Multimedia systems such as Extron, Poly/HP, JBL, LG, Sonos, and other systems;
• Provide support for service calls and emergency service calls to clients;
• Understand and participate in continuous improvement projects to grow knowledge and identify gaps in knowledge or understanding, ultimately bettering themselves.

Operations Technicians support infrastructure upgrades, changes, and moves while providing skilled and unskilled labor for Telecom and A/V projects. Duties include cabling, terminations, testing, equipment installation, cable management, system configuration, and servicing client systems. They also support emergency calls and continuously build their technical knowledge.
