Overview
Meadow Wood Behavioral is seeking a full-time LPN for the Evening shift at Meadow Wood Behavioral Health Hospital, a 120-bed treatment center providing services to adults and adolescents on both an inpatient and outpatient basis in New Castle, Delaware. New grads are welcome to apply.

Shifts available:
Full-time evenings from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM (8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week).
- Monitor patient health and administer basic care utilizing the nursing process within the LPN/LVN scope of practice and care plan objectives.
- Model professional standards in customer service and demonstrate urgency regarding patient safety.
- Collaborate with the care team to meet patients’ physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental, and cultural needs; acknowledge and address patient concerns and complaints when applicable.
- Provide for basic comfort and implement nursing interventions identified in the plan of care, individualized to each patient’s needs.
- Apply appropriate interventions to progress patients toward wellness and maintain wellness.
- Discuss care with patients, listen to concerns, and report status changes to registered nurses and doctors.
- Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patients, visitors, coworkers, and others involved in treatment.
- Ensure safe delivery of medications in accordance with policies, procedures, physician orders, and current practice.
- Maintain standards of professional nursing practice according to facility policy, external governing bodies, and performance improvement standards.
- Document thoroughly and accurately patient symptoms, responses, and progress.
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- One or more years of nursing experience in the clinical area of service preferred.
- Current LPN/LVN license as required by the state.
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
- First aid may be required based on state or facility.
