Setup​/Process Tech

We are seeking an experienced Setup & Process Technician to support our injection molding operations.

A shift from 12pm-8pm and a shift from 8pm - 2am.

The Setup & Process Technician is responsible for mold setup, process optimization, troubleshooting, and maintaining stable injection molding operations. This hands-on technical role ensures efficient machine performance, reduced downtime, and consistent product quality.

This is a non-exempt, hourly manufacturing position supporting production operations.

• Perform mold installations, removals, startups, and changeovers
• Set up dryers, blenders, robots, hot runners, and temperature controllers
• Complete material verification and line clearance
• Establish and maintain processing parameters
• Optimize cycle time, pressure, temperature, speed, and timing
• Develop and update standard process sheets
• Support mold trials, validation runs, and Cp/Cpk studies
• Monitor scrap, downtime, and OEE
• Respond to machine alarms and production interruptions
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and process issues
• Train operators on startup, shutdown, and process monitoring
• Follow control plans, work instructions, and quality standards
• Support audits, PPAP, and customer requirements
• Promote safety and continuous improvement

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years injection molding setup & processing experience
• Strong knowledge of plastic resins and molding parameters
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics

Preferred:

• Scientific molding training
• Preventive maintenance experience
• Lean manufacturing background

• Frequent standing, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
• Overtime and off-shift flexibility as needed
