W2 only.
Job Description
:
You will act as a key liaison between the Service Desk and Infrastructure teams
, ensuring efficient issue resolution and minimizing unnecessary escalations. If you're passionate about technology, security, and process improvement, this is an exciting opportunity to lead desktop-related projects and shape the future of our IT environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Desktop Management - Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, software, and peripherals in an enterprise environment.
- Endpoint Management - Configure, deploy, and manage Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot, ensuring performance and compliance. Provide training and support to end users and IT staff.
- Application Deployment - Build and deploy application packages using Autopilot, PDQ, or Automox for automation.
- Security & Compliance - Implement security protocols, track and remove end-of-life software, and ensure all desktop systems remain up-to-date with patches and updates.
- Asset Management - Manage the tracking and lifecycle of end-user assets from procurement to disposal, ensuring accurate inventory records.
- Hardware Standards - Identify and recommend end-user hardware solutions that align with company needs.
- Office 365 Administration - Maintain and optimize the Office 365 environment, ensuring security and efficiency.
- Technical Support & Escalations - Serve as the escalation point for Service Desk issues and act as the bridge between Service Desk and Infrastructure teams.
- Documentation - Maintain accurate records of desktop configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Project Management - Lead desktop-related IT projects, ensuring on‑time delivery within budget and quality standards.
- Problem Management - Conduct root‑cause analysis for desktop hardware and software issues to prevent recurring problems.
- Process Improvement - Identify and implement enhancements to improve desktop support and management.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Desktop Engineer, with at least senior or lead‑level responsibilities.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Expertise in application packaging and deployment via Autopilot (experience with PDQ or Automox is a plus).
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Active Directory / Entra Group Policies.
- Extensive hands‑on experience with Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot implementations.
- Ability to troubleshoot routine network connectivity issues.
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Certifications (Required & Preferred)
- CompTIA A+ (Required)
