Employee is responsible for assisting and/or instructing individuals in performing a variety of therapy activities in accordance with well prescribed procedures. Employee works under the close supervision of a technical superior and is responsible for assisting and/or instructing individuals in therapy activities such as performing basic living skills, sensorimotor activities, psychosocial activities or preparing individuals for therapy treatments; observes and records individual's progress;
requisitions supplies and materials; maintains work areas and equipment.
- THERAPY ASSISTANT:
Provides support in planning, implementing and administering activities and providing instruction. - Assists therapist in developing treatment plans and conducting evaluations.
- Confers with therapist and others to discuss and evaluate individual's information for planning, modifying or coordinating treatment.
Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
- Knowledge of therapy practices.
- Knowledge of record keeping.
- Depending on job assignment, possession of one of the following certification, license or registration:

This position is a classification organized under an exclusive bargaining representative (labor organization) that has been elected by employees as their representative for collective bargaining and other applicable terms and conditions of employment, in accordance with Title 29, Chapter 59 and Title 19, Chapter 13 and 16. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement based on its individual terms.
Criminal background check: A satisfactory criminal background check is required as a condition of hire. The recruiting agency may require the applicant to pay for the criminal background check as part of the conditional offer of hire.
