Regional Tractor Trailer Driver – Municipal Group of Companies

TDR Transportation & Logistics, a subsidiary of The Municipal Group of Companies, is a transportation company providing courier and transport services around Atlantic Canada. We are currently seeking a Regional Tractor Trailer Driver to join our team within Atlantic Canada.

• Driving locally and among the Maritimes.
• Loading, transporting, and offloading freight.
• Report to the dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road.
• Follow all applicable traffic laws.
• Inspect the trailer before and after the trip, and record any defects found.
• Keep a log of all activities.
• Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.
• Keep the truck and associated equipment clean and in good working order.
• Load and unload deliveries through a variety of mechanisms and delivery assistance devices.
• Use technology to map routes, deliver, pickup, track shipments, and communicate universally.
• Ensure documents are delivered, entered accurately and turned in accordingly.
• Perform all customer tasks in a polite, resourceful and professional manner with overall excellent customer service throughout the process.
• Any other duties as assigned by the manager.

• Proven work experience as a truck driver.
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
• No recent moving or driving violations.
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations, such as traffic or weather conditions.
• Valid Class 1 Driver's License.

• Work both indoors and outdoors.
• Manual dexterity required to operate computer equipment.
• Ability to lift 50–75 pounds.
