The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprised of 14 women’s and 10 men’s programs, that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the Big Ten Conference, after officially joining the league on July 1, 2014. Rutgers hosted Princeton on Nov. 6, 1869 in the first intercollegiate football game, with RU earning a 6-4 victory.

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Director of Player Services for Athletics - Football. Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Performs a variety of day-to-day responsibilities in support of the Football Program.
- Reports to the Director of Football Equipment and is assigned by the Head Football Coach to perform duties within the football program’s Equipment Operations department.
- Supervises and directs Equipment Room Graduate Assistants and Student Managers.

QualificationsMinimum
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Graduate Assistant Equipment Manager experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or 2 years full time equipment manager experience.
- A valid driver’s license would be required for this position.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, follow up, and follow through.
- Ability to be detail oriented and possess excellent oral and written communicational skills.
- High level of confidentiality.
- Knowledge of the Big Ten Football Conference and NCAA rules and regulations, particularly in regards to recruiting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Access & Internet Explorer.
- Certified Athletic Equipment Manager through the Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA) or completion of Certification within 1 year of employment.
- Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, Internet browsers, and use of athletic vehicles (vans, etc.).
- Maintain inventory system, Teamworks.
- Nights and weekends will be required.
- Clean Driving Record.
