• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance in accordance with the work order system.
• Respond to emergency calls (fire, elevators, nurse call, etc.) within 15‑30 minutes of receipt.
• Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of the mechanical and electrical trades.
• Carry out work assignments in a safe manner.
• Perform other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

• Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions.
• General understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment and operations, normally acquired through on‑the‑job training and 3–5 years of related experience.
• Ability to meet deadlines, concentrate, and pay attention to details.
• Interpersonal skills to deal effectively and courteously with hospital personnel.
• Work requires prolonged standing and the ability to walk, climb ladders, lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds and heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
• Exposure to unpleasant odors is expected.
• Must be familiar with and exercise precautions for working near live electrical equipment and hazards associated with operating mechanical equipment.
• Valid driver’s license issued by the state of New Jersey is preferred, as the position may involve driving a facility vehicle to various locations.

Salary Range: $18.47 – $28.61 USD per hour.
