Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Analyst for the Office of Institutional Research. This position reports to the Director and contributes to OIRDS’s core responsibility for producing accurate, consistent, and defensible internal and external reports on faculty, students, staff, and other critical academic, physical, and financial information. Among the key duties of the position are the following:
Applies institutional research knowledge and sound judgment to interpret reporting requirements. Validates and reconciles data outputs. Ensures compliance-aligned deliverables that meet leadership and external reporting standards.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in applied mathematics, statistics, social science, or in a related scientific field or discipline.
  • Experience with databases such as MS SQL and Oracle.
  • Strong technical aptitude and desire to keep up with the latest technological and data management advances.
  • Experience working with data in the context of higher education.
  • Experience in Institutional Research related environments.
  • Good working knowledge of higher education operations, practices, and organizational structure.
