Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Operating Room RN – New Jersey

Start Date: March 9, 2026
Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Full-time travel assignment with on-call duties; approximately 32 hours per month on-call; one weekend per month 24-hour call coverage both days; may float to Main OR when no CVOR cases scheduled; hospital-provided scrubs

Highlights:

• Specialize in adult open heart surgery including CABG, valve replacements (aortic, mitral, pulmonic), and advanced TAVR procedures
• Work with cutting-edge devices including Impella, Heart Mate, ECMO, and assist with laser lead extractions
• Both scrub and circulate responsibilities for open CVOR cases and TAVR procedures
• Flexible floating arrangements to Main OR to maintain full utilization and skill diversity
• Local candidates accepted; first-time travelers considered with strong experience highly preferred
• Comprehensive onboarding with up to 18 hours of non-billable modules and EPIC training

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of cardiovascular OR experience required
• Active New Jersey or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• BLS certification required; CNOR preferred
• Demonstrated scrub experience for open CVOR cases and TAVR procedures
• Strong knowledge of cardiac assist devices:
  Impella, Heart Mate, ECMO, IABP, and VAD systems
• Proficiency in adult cardiovascular surgery case mix including CABG and valve procedures
• Charge experience preferred
• Willingness to float within skillset and work required on-call and weekend shifts
• Must be available to work 2 of 3 major holidays during contract period
• All compliance requirements, including references and background clearance, must be met prior to start
