We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our inpatient care team. RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for our Medical Unit 1 (Surgical Oncology) at the New Brunswick campus.

• The Registered Nurse provides nursing care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards and upholds ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
• The Registered Nurse maintains safety in practice and supports evidence-based practice by recognizing own knowledge level and communicating with and utilizing resources and programs available.
• The Registered Nurse reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
• The Registered Nurse maintains knowledge of the patient population served.
• The Registered Nurse supervises and directs the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers.
• The Registered Nurse sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• The Registered Nurse uses the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care, individualizes the plan of care to address a specific patient’s needs, and serves as an interdisciplinary team manager.

• Required: ASN or Nursing Diploma
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills

• Preferred: BSN or must be completed within 5 years upon hire
• At least one year of RN experience preferred

• Certifications And Licenses

  BLS and ACLS certification;
  Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License

• Day Shift, 36 hours per week 7a-7:30p
• Monday – Friday, some weekend and holiday rotation
