CVICU Nurse

Summary We are seeking a skilled CVICU Nurse for a 13-week contract in New Brunswick, NJ. The ideal candidate will have experience in cardiovascular intensive care and be proficient in handling fresh open heart cases.

• Hourly Rate: $42.28
• Weekly Stipend: $1309.00 (Includes $483.00 for meals and $826.00 for lodging)
• Gross Weekly Pay: $2831.08
• Unit: CVICU
• Shift: Night, 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the CVICU
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Educate patients and their families about cardiovascular health and post-operative care
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans

• 2+ years of acute care experience
• Experience with fresh open heart cases such as CABG, MVR, AVR, TAVR
• Familiarity with equipment including Swan, Flotrack, Temp Pacers, Alines, Chest Tubes, Impella, IABP, and CRRT using prismaflex
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Navy blue scrub color

• Travelers will float to all ICUs, PACU & ED for ICU holding patients and all IMC units
• Patient ratio typically 1:2 but up to 1:3
