RWJBH is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Surgical Unit II specializing in trauma, bariatrics, vascular, and general surgery at the New Brunswick campus.
Qualifications- BSN required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficient computer skills
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
- Day Shift – 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Monday – Friday, with some weekend and holiday rotation
- Per Diem
- The Registered Nurse provides nursing care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, ensuring awareness of ethical standards as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
- The Registered Nurse ensures safety in practice and applies evidence‑based principles, maintaining personal knowledge and advancing knowledge through communication and resource utilization.
- The Registered Nurse reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
- The Registered Nurse maintains knowledge of the patient population served.
- The Registered Nurse supervises and directs delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers.
- The Registered Nurse consistently sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
- The Registered Nurse acts as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize care plans for specific patient needs.
