ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions:
- The Registered Nurse provides nursing care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards and assures awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
- The Registered Nurse ensures safety in practice and supports evidence-based practice by maintaining awareness of own knowledge and experience and by communicating with and utilizing resource persons and programs available to advance knowledge of self and others on the patient care team.
- The Registered Nurse reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
- The Registered Nurse possesses knowledge of the patient population served.
- The Registered Nurse supervises and directs the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers.
- The Registered Nurse sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
- The Registered Nurse is an individual practitioner and the interdisciplinary team manager, utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualizes the plan of care to address a specific patient's needs.
Required:
- ASN or Nursing Diploma
- At least 1 year of Registered Nurse experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficient computer skills
Preferred:
- BSN or must be completed within 5 years upon hire
- At least 1 year of NICU experience
- National Board Certification in Specialty
Certifications and Licenses
Required:
- BLS and NRP certification
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
- Night Shift, 36 hours per week, 7p-7:30a
- Monday - Friday, some weekend and holiday rotation
