RN - CVICU

Night shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30). Travelers must be available to work every other holiday and weekend.

We are seeking an experienced CVICU Nurse for a critical care role involving the management of patients post open-heart surgery as well as other complex cardiac care needs. The nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

• Manage care for patients who are fresh open hearts, including CABG, MVR, AVR, and TAVR.
• Assist with the insertion and removal of chest tubes and the management of ventilation support (BiPAP/CPAP).
• Perform 12 lead EKGs and monitor cardiac rhythms.
• Administer medications and blood products as required.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including physical therapy and respiratory services.
• Float to all ICUs and IMC units as needed.

• Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience, with CVICU experience preferred.
• Current NJ RN License (or Compact License) at the time of submission.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience with devices such as Impella, IABP, and CRRT.
• Ability to work with chronic and acute renal failure patients.
