Roles & Responsibilities
Role
The Product Lead Engineer will own the end to end technical direction, architecture, and engineering decisions for products built on Service Now HRSD and Procurement modules. This role acts as both the technical visionary and hands on engineering leader, guiding squads to deliver scalable, secure, and high quality Service Now solutions aligned to enterprise architecture and business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
* Technical Ownership & Architecture
* Define and maintain the technical architecture, engineering roadmap, and platform strategy for Service Now HRSD and Procurement products.
* Ensure all solutions align with BU Architecture standards, platform governance, and enterprise technology frameworks.
* Lead evaluation and selection of design options within the Service Now ecosystem (HRSD, Procurement, Workflow, Integrations).
* Solution Delivery & Engineering Leadership
* Partner with Business Product Managers to shape product vision and translate requirements into Service Now capabilities.
* Provide hands on guidance to engineering squads, including solution design, code reviews, configuration best practices, and performance optimization.
* Troubleshoot complex Service Now issues across HRSD, Procurement, Integrations (MID Server, APIs, Data Models).
* Drive adoption of secure, scalable, modular configurations and tech standards.
* Cross Functional Collaboration
* Collaborate with enterprise platform teams to leverage shared capabilities (Integration Hub, Flow Designer, HR case configurations, Procurement workflows).
* Serve as the primary technical contact for stakeholders, including vendors, architects, RSM, and cross functional leaders.
* Support prioritization of technical backlogs and manage cross product dependencies & risks.
* Innovation & Governance
* Monitor Service Now releases and industry trends to identify new HRSD/Procurement features and innovation opportunities.
* Lead research spikes, proof of concepts, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
* Maintain technical catalogs, integrations, interfaces, and compliance with platform governance.
Key Skills & Experience
* Service Now Expertise
* Deep, hands on experience in Service Now HRSD, including:
* Case Management, Employee Center, Knowledge, HR Workflows
* Lifecycle Events, HR Integrations, Role-based security
* Strong knowledge of Serv iceNow Procurement / Source-to-Pay modules, including request workflows, vendor interactions, and approval models.
* Strong experience in Integration Hub, Script Includes, Flow Designer, Scoped Apps, and API-driven integrations.
* Technical & Product Skills
* Ability to convert business requirements into scalable Service Now solutions.
* Experience defining platform-level standards, reusable components, and governance controls.
* Understanding of enterprise processes across HR, Procurement, Compliance, IAM, and ITSM.
* Leadership & Collaboration
* Ability to lead multiple engineering squads and influence without authority.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Proven ability to create a high-performance engineering culture, mentor team members, and drive cross-team alignment.

Salary Range: $150,000-$190,000 a year
