Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Application Developer for the Office of Information Technology. Reporting to the Project Manager, this position will be responsible for supporting the implementation of Oracle HCM Cloud and providing ongoing support for both Oracle HCM Cloud and legacy Oracle People Soft HCM. The role will focus on ensuring a smooth transition to Oracle HCM Cloud while maintaining critical People Soft HCM functionalities until full migration is completed.

  • Design, develop and implement Oracle HCM Extracts, Fast Formulas, BI Publisher Reports, and HCM Data Loader ( HDL ) solutions to meet business needs.
  • Support ongoing system optimizations, quarterly updates, and new feature adoption in Oracle HCM Cloud.
  • Provide day‑to‑day support to UHR and Payroll as well as troubleshoot production problems and provide Help Desk support.
  • Provide subject matter and technical expertise to junior staff.

Qualifications

Minimum

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience with four or more years of progressive experience in a technical or techno‑functional capacity, with at least three of the years dedicated to implementing or supporting Oracle HCM applications, including People Soft HCM and/or Oracle HCM Cloud.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must have experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM / E Business Suite/People Soft with focus on various HCM modules.
  • Must have recent experience with the following:
    • Oracle Integration Cloud, HCM Extracts, Fast Formulas, Bi Reports, Workflow
    • Experience with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Web Services (SOAP/REST), and People Tools (for legacy support).
    • Integrating data from disparate systems in/out of cloud based application.
  • A good understanding of software SDLC.
  • Must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred seven years of progressive experience in a technical or techno‑functional capacity.
  • Experience with Oracle HCM Cloud Core HR, Benefits, Time and Labor, Absence Management, Payroll, Recruiting.
  • Experience with HCM Data Loader ( HDL ), HCM Spreadsheet Loader ( HSDL ), HCM Cloud fast formulas and Descriptive Flexfields.
  • Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) experience including creating integrations, connections, data mappings & look‑ups, error management and cloud adapters.
  • Experience with building complex Apps Driven Orchestration, Scheduled Orchestration, File Transfer, Publish/Subscribe to OIC integrations.
  • Proficiency with Eclipse, CVS, JIRA, Confluence, JIRA, Microsoft Office tools, PL/SQL, SQL, SQR, People Tools, XML/BI Publisher, People Soft Query and Reporting, People Soft Workflow/AWE, People Soft Security, Roles, Permission Lists, Process Scheduler, People Soft Integration Tools, Oracle Integration Cloud, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, UNIX and/or Linux, MS Windows.
