Databricks Data Engineer - Senior - Consulting - Miami

Key Responsibilities- Design, build, and operate scalable on‑premises or cloud data architecture.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Optimize data flows for target data platform designs.
- Design, develop, and implement data engineering solutions using Databricks on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Collaborate with clients to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Lead end‑to‑end data pipeline development, including ingestion, transformation, and storage.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers and team members.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Manage client relationships and expectations, ensuring high satisfaction.
- Stay updated with latest trends and technologies in data engineering and cloud computing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering focused on cloud data solutions.
- Expertise in Databricks and Spark for big data processing.
- Proven experience in at least two end‑to‑end data engineering implementations.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or SQL.
- Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
- Strong communication and client‑management skills.
- Strategic thinking, align solutions with business strategy.
- Project management: oversee multiple projects with timely delivery.
- Stakeholder engagement and presentation to executives.
- Change and risk management in data transformation projects.
- Technical leadership and architectural decision making.
- Documentation and reporting for clients.
- Experience with data quality management.
- Familiarity with semantic layers and data architecture.
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance.
- Machine learning frameworks and tools experience.
- Competitive base salary ($106,900–$176,500) with total rewards package including medical, dental, pension, 401(k) and paid time off.
- Hybrid work model: 40–60% on‑site.
