- Implements a variety of behavior analytic strategies in support of successful outcomes for adults with autism across skill acquisition and behavior reduction goals in center‑based and community‑based environments.
- Collects, interprets, and analyzes behavioral data.
- Contributes to the development of behavior analytic instructional programming under the supervision of a Behavior Analyst.
Minimum Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, or a related field.
- At least six (6) months of prior experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in an ABA setting.
- Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
- Active certification or ability to obtain certification in crisis management techniques.
- Ability to work well with adults with autism that have significant adaptive, physical, and/or behavioral support needs across various settings.
- Competent communication skills.
- Experience working in community‑based settings supporting adults with autism.
- Prior experience or certification in crisis management.
- Prior experience using web‑based data collection/analysis software.
- Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Supports adults with ASD during public transportation.
- Must be able to complete training in crisis management.
- Expected to provide direct care to adult patients in severe behavioral crisis and work with a team in treating patients in behavioral crisis.
- May work with patients exhibiting intense aggression, self‑injury, elopement, expulsion, or property destruction.
- Must be able to move, lift, and carry patients and objects, including independently lifting up to 50 pounds and assisting with weights of more than 100 pounds.
- Use of abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support without fatigue.
- Frequent movement, use of limbs, good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
- Extended periods of standing or sitting.
