Pathology Support Technician

The Pathology Support Technician will:
- Receive and accession all incoming cases (routine surgical, bone marrows, autopsies and placentas) into the laboratory information system.
- Facilitate the send out and return of pathology-specific specialty testing requests.
- Review and edit gross descriptions from pathology assistants.
- Transcribe consultation cases and work with pathologists to gather materials for consultation send out and tumor board review.
- Receive, sort and organize all interdepartmental communications.
- File and archive requisitions, pathology reports and slides.
- Good typing skills (65-75 wpm).
- Medical terminology skills preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills and effective customer service skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data
. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.
The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
