Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with current CT and NMT certification for a day shift assignment, with experience in a range of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine studies.

• Work in a cancer center nuclear medicine department with occasional floating to the main hospital
• Perform a range of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine studies using GE and Philips NM cameras
• Utilize Epic for charting and documentation
• Day shifts are 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Required to work every third weekend
• No on-call requirement
• Patient ratios and assignment may vary based on census and acuity
• Floating within skill set may be required as needed
• First-time travelers are accepted for this role
• Required to float to main hospital, which is connected by pedestrian bridge, as needed
• Black scrubs are required in this department
• Locals are accepted for this position at the same rate
• Must be available to work at least 2 out of 3 holidays during the assignment
• Block or special scheduling requests are not accommodated unless approved prior to booking
• RWJ Barnabas Health staff (full time or PRN) must have a minimum one-year separation before returning as travelers
• Adherence to schedule is expected, and RTO must be requested and approved prior to offer
• Compliance modules, including Epic training, to be completed pre-start
• Clinicians are required to make up any missed shifts within the same pay period

• Active NJ or Compact license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Must have both CT certification and NMT certification (ARRT(N) or NMTCB)
• Either R.T. ARRT (R), ARRT (CT), or NMTCB(CT) accepted in combination with NMT certification
• Minimum of 2 years of nuclear medicine experience preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Experience with GE and Philips NM cameras required
