Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate in the Medical Immunology Department at the Rutgers Cancer Institute.
Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the Postdoctoral Associate will conduct research in the immunobiology of cancer and cancer immunotherapy. The research focuses on T cell differentiation and immune responses, with mechanistic explorations to unveil new therapeutic strategies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
* Conducts research experiments to understand the role of metabolism in regulating T cell differentiation and the immune response, with mechanistic explorations to unveil new therapeutic strategies.
* Works with primary T cells in vitro and mouse models in vivo, effectively.
* Demonstrates expertise in flow cytometry and routinely applies core molecular biology techniques, including Western blotting and quantitative PCR (qPCR).
* Prepares written reports of the research experiments.
* Prepares grant proposals based on the research conducted.
* Gives oral presentations of the research.
* Assists with the instruction and training of students, fellows, lower-level professionals, and technicians in laboratory instrumentation and processes, etc., to develop the skills necessary to perform the required functions.
* Understands and adheres to Rutgers' compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy. Understands, demonstrates and models the Rutgers Cancer Institute core values.
* Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and Rutgers's compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Interest policy.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
FLSA Exempt Grade Salary Details Minimum Salary 20,000 Mid Range Salary 90,000 Maximum Salary 200,000 Offer Information
