Mammography

• Perform ultrasound procedures following the SPUH ultrasound scanning protocol appropriate to the ages of the patients.
• Prepare patients for ultrasound procedure – this includes proper clothing, educating patients and families, and easing fears of pediatric patients.
• Assist the Radiologist to obtain a diagnosis.
• Determine when a patient should be held until their physician is contacted with results of the procedure.
• Accurately record a complete technologist note to include all pertinent information concerning the exam or procedure.

• Graduate from an approved school of medical ultrasound technology.
• RDMS required.
• Requires communication skills sufficient for effective communication with patients, physicians and staff.
• BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.
