Overview

MGSA – Department of Art & Design - (Summer 2026). The Department invites applications for part-time instructional and academic support for undergraduate and graduate courses.

The Department of Art & Design offers BFA and BA degrees in Visual Arts with concentrations in Drawing, Media, Painting, Photography, Print, and Sculpture as well as a BFA in Design. The Department also offers MFA degrees in Visual Arts and Design. Successful applicants will staff undergraduate or graduate level courses in a demonstrated specialization content area. The majority of course appointments are located in Downtown New Brunswick.

Sculpture appointments are located in Piscataway.

Staff undergraduate or graduate level courses in a demonstrated specialization content area.

Teach assignments are part-time and aligned with the needs of the Mason Gross School of the Arts. The position is located in Rutgers University–New Brunswick with specific site locations noted above.

Minimum

Education and Experience:

Requires a minimum of Master of Fine Arts or equivalent profile in area of practice and at least one year of relevant teaching experience. Strong pedagogical, organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills.
