Instructor – Part‑time Non‑Credit Turf Classes
We invite applications for instructors to teach non‑credit courses (multi‑hour sessions) in the Turf Management Program at Rutgers University – New Brunswick. The position is part‑time, may be held in‑person, remotely, or a combination of both.
Responsibilities- Develop and present course material during assigned course times.
- Coordinate materials with the Program Coordinator and submit required paperwork.
- Deliver live‑online training via Zoom, Webex or other virtual platforms.
- Propose new course ideas to broaden instructor expertise and keep participants up to date with industry trends.
- Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. - 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in turf management or a related industry.
- Excellent communication skills and computer literacy.
- Knowledge of classroom management, adult learning and facilitation techniques.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with developing and facilitating online instruction.
- Experience delivering live‑online workshops, programs or classes.
- Laptop, webcam, and projector (required for delivery of material not available in the courses).
Hourly rate: $25–$200, depending on qualifications and experience. Rutgers offers a comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, retirement, etc.) to eligible employees.
