OverviewRutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Teaching Portfolio Coach for the Rutgers Alternate Route Program specifically, in the following content areas:
Physical Education, High School, Mathematics K-12, ESL, and Performing Visual Arts. - Reviews teacher portfolios from Alternate Route Program candidates.
- Scores documents and provides constructive feedback to help candidates prepare a complete professional portfolio demonstrating their teaching competency.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Three (3) years of recent/current experience as a teacher in the K12 setting.
- NJ Standard Teaching Certification in Elementary Education (Grades K-6), Special Education and/or Secondary Content Area Education.
- Greater than 3 years of recent/current experience as a teacher in the K12 setting.
- Competency using Microsoft Office Applications and/or Cloud based word processing applications.
- Experience with Course Management Systems, i.e. Canvas, Sakai, Blackboard.
- Hourly rate $25.00.
- Part time – less than 19.9 hours per week, day shift, on-site.
- Temporary staff appointment – hourly.
- Open until 02/06/2026.
