Job Summary
The Department of Statistics in the School of Arts and Sciences seeks outstanding applicants for Lecturer (formerly Part‑Time Lecturer‑PTL) positions for Statistics courses. Instruction is for a full course, undergraduate or graduate level. The successful candidate will prepare and submit syllabi, grade examinations and papers, provide timely student feedback, respond to students’ emails, meet during assigned office hours, and adhere to grade submission policies and deadlines.
This position reports to the Department Chairperson.
- Prepare and submit syllabi for the course.

- Respond to students’ emails.
- Attend assigned office hours.
- Adhere to grade submission policies and deadlines.
- Master’s degree, preferably Ph.D., in Statistics or related field, and/or relevant industry experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior teaching experience or evidence of teaching effectiveness.
In person courses will be scheduled at a location on one of our five New Brunswick campuses.
