Position: AP Summer Institute Instructor (Non-Credit) - Summer 2026

AP Summer Institute Instructor (Non-Credit) – Summer 2026

Rutgers – Center for Mathematics, Science, and Computer Education seeks to hire instructors for the Summer 2025 non‑credit AP Summer Institute in various disciplines. The position is part‑time, non‑credit, and will be held on campus or at a designated facility.

Responsibilities
  • Instruct the College Board AP curriculum at the Rutgers AP Summer Institute, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (30‑minute lunch break). Program dates:
    July 07–10, July 14–17, and July 21–24.
  • Prepare course materials, including syllabi, presentations, handouts, and other resources.
  • Provide constructive feedback to participants.
  • Teach in one of the following areas:

    • African American Studies

    • Art and Design

    • Art History

    • Biology

    • Calculus AB & BC

    • Chemistry

    • Computer Science A

    • Computer Science Principles

    • Economic Micro & Macro

    • English Language

    • English Literature

    • Environmental Science

    • European History

    • French

    • Human Geography

    • Italian Language

    • Music Theory

    • Physics I & II:
    Algebra‑Based

    • Physics B

    • Physics C:
    Electricity and Magnetism, Mechanics

    • Precalculus

    • Psychology

    • Spanish

    • Statistics

    • Studio Art

    • US Government and Politics

    • US History

    • World History
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
    • Applicant must be an approved College Board APSI Consultant.
    Compensation & Benefits

    Salary range: $2,900 – $4,500 per position.
