Teaching Instructor in Speech and Hearing Sciences - Academic Year

Full‑time, non‑tenure track (renewable) position at Rutgers University‑New Brunswick, Department of Linguistics. Duties primarily involve teaching undergraduate courses in Speech and Hearing Sciences and Linguistics. This is a 3‑3 teaching load, teaching three undergraduate courses each semester.

    Not less than $75,152 for the academic year, based on the most recent collective bargaining agreement between the faculty union (AAUP‑AFT) and Rutgers University.

Requirements
  • Minimum Education:

    Must have completed a Master’s degree (MSSLP or MASLP) or a Ph.D. in Speech‑Language‑Hearing Sciences or a closely related field by August 31, 2026.
  • Teaching experience:
    Experience teaching undergraduate students at the university level, with preference for experience with online or hybrid classes.
  • Expertise:
    One or more of phonetics, voice, speech, child language development, or hearing disorders. Expertise in related areas may also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience advising undergraduate students.
  • Clinical experience in speech‑language pathology and/or audiology.
