Psychiatrist

Position Overview

CFG Health Network is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to join our collaborative behavioral health team at St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. The psychiatrist will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatment planning for adult patients in an acute care hospital setting.

This role offers the flexibility of 1–2 days per week
, ideal for physicians seeking a supplemental practice opportunity or a balanced part-time schedule.

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for adult patients

• Provide psychopharmacological treatment and monitor patient progress

• Collaborate closely with hospital staff, including medical, nursing, and social work teams

• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with CFG and hospital standards

• Provide consultation to medical and emergency department teams as needed

• MD or DO from an accredited institution

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry

• Active New Jersey medical license (or eligibility to obtain)

• DEA and CDS certification
