Posting Summary: Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital New Brunswick (RWJUH) is seeking a full-time Nocturnist to join the Hospitalist Division at our new Morris location with Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, The State University of New Jersey. The Nocturnist will primarily manage admitted patients to the hospitalist medicine service in collaboration with consultants and subspecialists. The role involves partnering with emergency department physicians, observation unit physicians, and intensivists for patients requiring admission to the hospitalist service for acute inpatient care on medical-surgical and intermediate care units.
The hospitalist will coordinate inpatient care, assist with transitions of care back to the ambulatory setting, and work with medical and surgical support staff, including advanced practice providers. The position offers opportunities for clinical and research programs, faculty development, quality improvement activities, and teaching initiatives in collaboration with Rutgers-RWJ Medical School.
