Academic Pediatric Pathologist, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in conjunction with Rutgers Health and RWJBarnabas Health invites applications for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level in Pediatric Pathology within the section of Surgical Pathology in the Division of Anatomic Pathology. The section is responsible for performance of pediatric pathology laboratory services at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital – the school’s 650-bed tertiary care core teaching hospital in New Brunswick, NJ.

The successful candidate will be a member of the Pediatric Pathology team, consulting with clinical staff, as well as active participants in the educational programs of the Department including teaching medical students, residents, and clinical fellows, and will be expected to engage in productive research activities. In addition, participation on the autopsy service will be required but is limited to pediatric cases.

Additional board certification in cytopathology will be given consideration but is not required.

An MD, DO, or MBBS is required along with board certification or board eligibility in AP/CP or AP and cytopathology. Academic rank and compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and academic experience. Women and diverse candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
