Inpatient only;
Monday 7:00 AM Monday 7:00 AM (onsite 9:00 AM 6:00 PM, call 6:00 PM 9:00 AM daily)
Setting: Academic/Community Level I Trauma Center
Assignment Overview
Inpatient consultative neurology care
Case mix includes: stroke & TIA mimics, seizures/status epilepticus, encephalopathy, neuromuscular disorders, spinal cord disorders, autoimmune & para neoplastic syndromes, nervous system infections, vestibular & neuro-ophthalmologic disorders
Bedside lumbar punctures (perform, supervise, or assist with trainee education)
Provide timely consultative assistance to admitting providers
Education of residents and neurology team staff
Patient load: patients/day
EMR:
Epic
Candidate Requirements
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neurology Required
Experience with lumbar punctures Required
Team & Support
Work alongside neurology residents & APPs
Provider responsible for APPs
Teaching & supervision responsibilities included
