Position Summary:
This position will provide a full range of cardiovascular services and treatments. The incumbent will work directly with patients to best understand their needs in order to test, diagnose and treat patients as required, as well as work with patients primary physicians and other relevant physicians to arrive at a workable medical strategy for the cardiovascular concerns.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assess patients' cardiovascular condition and conduct tests to understand heart issues
- Interpret diagnostic test results to determine status of the patients cardiovascular system and prescribe medication to treat the heart condition
- Interprets and supervises performance ECG, Holter, stress tests and other imaging tests such as echocardiography
- Implement in- and out-patient care systems and protocols and adhere to the defined standards of quality
- Collaborate with other cardiology specialists and cardiovascular surgeons to manage complex multi-system disease of in- and out-patients.
- Participate in continuing medical education programs
- Contribute to the education of residents, students and staff.
- Contribute to the vision, mission and research activities of the Division
Education/Qualification
- Candidate must possess a MD degree
- Have achieved or are eligible for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor
- Competencies in using medical imaging equipment and interpreting diagnostic imaging
- Excellent communication and people skills and attention to detail
Certificates/Licenses
- America Board of Internal Medicine certification (required)
- Cardiovascular Diseases Board certification (required)
- NJ License (required)

The anticipated salary range for this position if hired to work is $370,000 to $725,000 per year.
The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidates educational background, skills, and professional experience.
