Bilingual Forensic Pediatric Psychologist

Responsibilities
  • First level of service: Provision of supervised services to clients of the Central New Jersey Regional Child Protection Center, including assessment of children and families impacted by child abuse and neglect, direct intervention (short‑term therapy, group therapy, crisis intervention); consultation to the Department of Pediatrics (working with nurses, physicians, and social workers); participation in team meetings, grand rounds, teaching/training, in‑service training for residents and nursing students;

    presentations at conferences; and participation in program committees.
  • Second level of service: Broader regional needs and community consultation, providing consultation to physicians, social service, and nursing staff at all medical centers in the catchment area (Middlesex, Union, Somerset, Ocean, Monmouth, Hunterdon, Somerset, and Mercer Counties); consultation to all child protection service agencies (e.g., Department of Child Protection and Permanency) in the region.
  • Diagnostic Center outreach: Develop programs shared with other regional diagnostic centers, social service agencies, schools, police, prosecutors, multidisciplinary teams, and the judicial system; travel to outlying program sites and develop outreach centers throughout the region, providing consultation, assessment, and treatment services in satellite centers.

  • Doctorate in child clinical, developmental, school, or pediatric psychology.
