Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Stage Crew Worker for the Mason Gross School of the Arts – Theater Arts department.

• Handles scene, costume, sound, lighting, and/or properties.
• Participates as part of carpentry, theatrical electricians, costume drapers/stitchers, backstage crew, or front of house staff during rehearsal and performance.

$15.49 - $30 hourly

The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position. Temporary Staff Appointment - Hourly

• High school/vocational school education or equivalent experience.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Professional experience in area of theatrical production or equivalent professional experience.

• Power tools including but not limited to drills, saws (circular, miter, band), routers, nail guns, and sanders.
• Sewing machines, steamers, and other costume related equipment utilized in the costume shop.

• Employees must be comfortable on ladders and be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.

• Hours vary from sporadic to 19.5 hours per week.
