Job SummaryWe have an opening for an experienced Truck Driver in our Milling Division. As a Milling Water Truck Driver, the selected candidate will work in a team environment with co‑workers and managers, reporting directly to the operations manager and complying with mandatory safety procedures.
Principle Accountabilities- Safely and efficiently load/unload, secure, & haul Wirtgen W50 trim milling machine, Bobcat S650 skid steer loader, Rosco RB48 kick brook sweeper from job to job & report any problems to your manager in a timely fashion.
- Drive water truck to water source, fill water truck with water, then fill milling equipment with water.
- Maintain constant eye contact when backing and use hand signals or other movements when working with co‑workers.
- Follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
- Follow direction of foreperson with regard to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite.
- Perform daily pre‑and‑post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
- Display a professional and courteous attitude to co‑workers, supervisors and the general public at all times.
- Be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
- Report to work at the designated start time and stay through the end of shift.
- Be able to work overtime when required.
- Be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.
- Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co‑workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education & Experience- Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Valid CDL Class A driver’s license with Tanker Endorsement.
- Minimum 5 years construction experience.
- Pass pre‑employment drug screen and criminal background check.
- Pass a pre‑employment “Fit for Work” physical.
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and occasionally in outdoor weather conditions, exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level may be high.
Physical DemandsThe employee is regularly required to talk and hear, sit, walk, stand, climb, crawl, bend, kneel, reach above shoulders, and lift up to 95 pounds for periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust to focus and operate various pieces of equipment.
PersonalProtective Equipment
Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment in designated operations and construction areas as outlined by OSHA and state agencies. Protective equipment that may be required includes hardhat, safety glasses, reinforced toed shoes, hand protection, safety vest/high visibility clothing for any work in the field.
